This collage was inspired by a relaxing afternoon paddling with my sweetheart and our furry-friends, on the Nottawasaga River in Ontario, Canada.
We canoed through a calm and marshy section of the river, where we encountered grey herons at every turn.
I was amazed at how completely unfazed they were by our presence. They stood with an ancient stillness and a focused intent.
This print invites you to share in that sense of peace, patience and certainty that the heron and egret embody.
